It was a celebrity roll call at CA Award 2015
The star studded C. Hub magazine creativity Award – CA Award held on 21st November 2015 at Hilton Hotel Tower Bridge has finally made a stamp of quality and authenticity, changing the game in the Diaspora events.
It was a roll call of big names, celebrities and personalities as over 250 guests witnessed what has gone down in history as a special day for creativity. Handing out 42 awards in total.
Guests and personalities from around the world and all walks of life were in attendance, including 3 times world martial art champion and Hollywood actor Winston Ellis, British accomplished Dr Who star actor Samuel Anderson, Dr Yvonne Thompson (CBE) founder of the first ever ethnic minority radio in the UK (Choice FM now Capital Xtra). Other celebrities and dignitaries include, Mayor Patricia Ekechi, the reigning Mayor of Enfield, Prof Rotimi, HRM Theodora Oyebade, numerous actors, actresses, producers and top industry personalities.
The fun filled night has been described by guests as the best yet. Cllr Anna Mbachu former Mayor of Waltham Forest called the event of the year as she noted on her Facebook page
,”I attended the star studded inaugural C. Hub magazine creativity Award (CA award) , held at Hilton hotel tower bridge London. This event made history as it raised the bar in what was a night of inspiration, success and history in the making. With top celebrities and personalities well in attendance, it can simply be said to be the event of the year in the UK. It was an honour when asked by the Organiser Faustina to give a brief keynote speech and present 4 awards. Congratulations to all the nominees whom I stated in my speech to be winners as well having made it to the final list. The night ended with performance from an act tgat held the audience spell bound with their dance routine
The inaugural CA award has made it’s mark and is here to continue to spread the message of excellence in creativity cementing the ethos of C. Hub magazine as the magazine that tells the unique stories behind every creativity.
Hosted by multi award winning presenter and actress Gayle Thompson whose effortless charm got everyone engaged and all smiles. With occasional intervals of top notch performances from R&B singer songwriter Tony Cue, Radio personality Hyper Hype, award winning gospel singer Precious Ngwu, Pop princess Jennifer Dasweetnezz, the talented soulful singer songwriter Justified Prince and the headliner, legendary Carol Jiani, Afrobeat superstar Valentine Artist who thrilled the audience with some breath-taking moves and dances with his crew.
The highlight of the night was Chief and HRM Theodora Oyebade’s sizzling romantic dance to Carol Jiani’s performance. The #BlueCarpet which saw lots of glam and dapper styles best dressed war as noted by Fashion Police.
In his Legend acceptance speech, Prof Rotimi Jaiyesimi urged Africans in Diaspora not to see colour but rather focus on breaking any glass ceiling. He also urges everyone to continue on the part of excellence. Dr Yvonne Thompson said “ethnic minorities should learn to support their media to encourage growth and sustainability.
Emeka Anyanwu the executive Director and publisher of C. Hub magazine said, “we are thrilled to have pulled off a great night. We’re happy our guests went home fulfilled and inspired. We’re now ready to take on the planning for next year. CA award has come to stay and we can only get even better and bigger.
