Divas of Colour is paying it forward to enable more women of colour to participate at this year’s festival.
The organisers of the Divas of Colour International Women’s Festival have announced a £2000 budget to enable struggling businesses by women of colour participate in this year’s event scheduled for October 24th at Hilton Hotel Canary Wharf.
Speaking, Faustina Anyanwu, the co-founder and CEO of the International women’s forum said: “The success of Divas of Colour flagship International women’s Festival has largely been due to the kindness and support we have received from other women. Whether it’s those who use their influence and position to win us sponsorships or those financially sponsoring from their own pocket or those helping out in kind with their free services.”
“From Catherine Wines of Worldremit to Caroline Popoola of Alpha Childcare Chain, to late Dr Nkem Ezeilo and numerous other women – from makeup artists to speakers, performers and our loyal partners. Women have stood with us enabling our growth. We have set aside £2000 worth of business exhibition opportunities for women of colour owned startup businesses or women of colour who are struggling with their businesses right now to use this opportunity to get a start to a new beginning.”
To help other women get on and to pay forward the generosity, we are giving 5 businesses opportunity to exhibit and 5 young or upcoming fashion brands to showcase at this year’s Divas of Colour Festival to be held on 24th October at Hilton Canary Wharf, London.
This year’s festival was originally scheduled for March 28th however, it was postponed to October due to the covid19 pandemic lockdown. Preparation is back underway now for another successful outing despite the challenges of this year.
