Arsenal football club has completed the signing of 9-years-old Nigerian Munir Muhammad Sada and he will be playing in the team’s kids academy. The news of the young lad joining Arsenal was made public on social media by an information officer at the department of public affairs, Govt house Kaduna, Abdallah Yunus Abdallah: “Arsenal FC has signed a 9-year-old Nigerian. Munir Muhammed Sada an indigene of Zaria LG of Kaduna State is expected to be playing for the youth soccer team of Arsenal FC.”
Munir Muhammed Sada who hails from Zaria (a city in Kaduna) put pen to his Arsenal contract in the presence of his parents and manager in England while being handed the number 9 jersey. Sada, born in 2012 to a father from Kaduna and mother from Katsina (the two parents’ states from the northern part of Nigeria), started playing football as a career right from his primary school and he also became the best young player in his community before his move to the north London club materialized.
Arsenal is yet to make an official statement on Munir Muhammed’s resumption to its academy, for sure, the 9-year-old will be in England soon where he would be pursuing his dream of becoming one of the football greats in the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry.
