How would you want to be described?
I am a UK based Presenter, Actress and Filmmaker. My first Feature Film, The Rubicon, is premiering in the UK on 6th of December 2013.
How did it all start for you in the film industry?
I had my first acting opportunity in 2008 with a movie, Rescue Me. This opened the door for me and I featured in several other productions ; My Love for Kola (2010),Means to an End (2010), Eldorado (2010), The Rubicon (produced by me 2013), Scars of Poverty (2012), My Angel My Funeral (2013), Victim No More (2012).
And then…
I then delved into the world of presenting / hosting when I was asked by 2HBTV to cover for their regular presenter which I obliged and got the opportunity to interview Nigerian film director, Kunle Afolayan. On seeing my performance at this interview, High Society Magazine International then requested me to interview the Iconic film Producer, Tunde Kelani.
Wow I heard more doors kept opening…
In January 2013, I was approached by a Producer at Ben Television UK to co-host a TV Show, The Magazine Show, a live show which airs every Saturday on Cable TV both in the UK and Nigeria. On The Magazine Show, I interviewed guests of the show with the main host, and also take calls from viewer. This was for the month of January.
So you’re done with all those, what’s going on again for you at the moment?
I was approached by Naija 101.1 FM UK to host my own radio Show, I started my own Radio Show on Naija 101.1 FM UK called ‘Dat’s Waz’zup’, a live show that airs every Sunday from 6:30pm; people could watch the live streaming of the show on the internet and it got hundreds of thousands of the Station’s regular viewers. The Show is a variety show consisting top 10 most recent songs, showcasing up and coming music artistes. I also do live interviews with music artistes and actors.
Ain’t you a talent and most of all hardworking?
I am , I do my best.
It is an absolute pleasure talking to you Dami. Good luck with -‘What a mess’.
