United Arab Emirates Dubai Police arrests ‘Hushpuppi’,’Woodberry’ & 10 gang members involved in money laundry & cyber fraud activities
Hushpuppi who poses as a successful real estate businessman with a large following of over two million followers on Instagram has been arrested by Dubai Police during an elaborate operation dubbed Fox Hunt 2 in the country by the men of Dubai police operatives. This follows a similar operation busting an African cyber crime gang running a similar scam in February 2019,where Dh32 million — $8.7m — was stolen from victims.

A total of 1,926,400 victims were said to have been targeted by the syndicate in a scheme that spanned several months.
“We Seized N16bn Cash, 13 Luxury Cars, 47 Smartphones From Hushpuppi And Gangs.”
13 luxury cars estimated to be worth over 25 million dirhams — N2.6bn — were seized from the gang, Police operative said.
Police said email addresses of 800,000 potential victims were discovered and the gang could have scammed as much as Dh1.6 billion from victims.
A total of 1,926,400 victims were said to have been targeted by the syndicate in a scheme that spanned several months.
Hushpuppi’s alleged had planned to create identical websites to well-known companies and banks as part of his scamming prowess.
