- Kanye Omari West Is Now Reportedly worth $6.6 billion Thanks to His Yeezy Brand Deal With Adidas.
- Kanye West is the richest Black man in U.S. history in large part due to his Yeezy sneaker business and upcoming Gap collaboration, according to People magazine and Bloomberg.
Bloomberg and People magazine are reporting that Kanye West is now officially the richest black person in US history, worth over $6.6 Billion in net worth.
This is great news for Kanye fans. Despite going $53 million in debt and spending most of 2013 campaigning to find backing for his creative ideas. Less than a decade later, he’s now the richest Black man in US History valued at 6.6 billion.
This leap is reportedly attributed to his partnership deal with Adidas worth over a million dollars and his 100% ownership of his Yeezy brand.
Last year, Kanye ran for the US presidency which was a flop. He however hasn’t given up on what he now calls ‘vision 2024’. For which Elon Musk continues to give his full support. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the multi-billionaire said – “It makes more sense than many people, including me, realized,” he said. “I have not dropped my support for Kanye, although I think 2024 would be better than 2020.”
Earlier this year, it was reported that he and his wife Kim Kardashian are going through a divorce, and last week we heard he had cut off the reality star and she could only speak to him through his security.
Believe it or not, love him or hate him, Kanye is one of the most talented creatives living. And he does not need anyone to tell him that or even believe it when he says it. He simply knows that.
Last year, he announced his taking a turn to follow his Christian faith. At the time, people laughed at him saying he would be cancelled as a rapper or musician. However, Kanye was not about to start to listen to anyone. His conviction about going full on with his Christian faith in service to God was launched as – Sunday Service – through which he released his album – Jesus is King. – which won him another Grammy’s this year despite having peed on the awards last year.
In an article for Times magazine a few years back, Elon Musk talking about his support for Kanye said –
“Kanye’s belief in himself and his incredible tenacity — he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut — got him to where he is today. And he fought for his place in the cultural pantheon with a purpose.”
